Honored coach of the USSR Anatoly Byshovets said that the resignation of Kurban Berdyev from the post of head coach of Sochi was due to the lack of results and the quality of the team’s game.

– The reasons for the dismissal of Berdyev from Sochi are the lack of results and the quality of the game. He had enough time to prepare. Here we are talking about management, the choice of tactics, the organization of the game. This primarily affects the result. I can’t say that Berdyev’s resignation is just natural. But when you come to a team that is in a crisis situation, you must understand what you will have to face in your work. There is no room for error here.

I myself have come across such situations while working in different clubs. And other coaches should understand this. This is the work of a sapper. There should be an idea that has the power of action to bring the team together in a difficult moment. Kurban Bekievich did not succeed. Moreover, the composition of Sochi has not changed much, achieving results. There were also silver medals when the team was coached by Vladimir Fedotov – he was a director and conductor there. Therefore, the team showed high-quality football. And the players were charged. As we can see, Berdyev’s counterattacking and defensive football was too tough for the Sochi players or not to their taste, ”said the RT coach.

Byshovets does not rule out that Berdyev may return to Rubin

– This cannot be ruled out. His work at Rubin and the conditions in which he had to work there really justified themselves. The club knows him well, they understand perfectly what kind of football Rubin will play if he is appointed. Another question is whether they are ready to take this step. If you are ready, then soon we will see him there for the third time, – said the coach.

FC Sochi on Monday announced the departure of Berdyev. Under the guidance of a 70-year-old specialist, the team played five matches in the RPL WORLD, in which they defeated CSKA (2: 0) and Dynamo (2: 0), and also lost to Orenburg (0: 4), Fakel (0:3) and “Wings of the Soviets” (1:2). Dmitry Khokhlov became the acting head coach of the team.

Sochi is ninth in the WORLD RPL standings with 31 points.
