Former Spartak midfielder Alexander Mostovoy believes that rumors about the possible interest of St. Petersburg Zenit in a number of young Russian football players may indicate an imminent departure from the legionnaires’ team.

On Tuesday, “Championship”, citing a source, said that in the summer, “Zenith” can make one of the largest purchases of the last few years. The publication named 10 names of football players from the MIR RPL clubs, nine of which are Russians. The resource notes: “the players in question are only included in the selection lists of St. Petersburg under the first numbers.”

– If there is an interest of Zenit in one of the best and most promising Russian players, then this only means one thing: there is a risk of losing foreigners. This means that there is a possibility that several foreign players will soon leave Zenit. That is, they plan to take Sergey Pinyaev and Konstantin Tyukavin in their places. Because then it makes no sense to buy young guys, they will sit on the bench. Especially when Sergeyev and Mostovoy are alive.
