Rakhimov’s contract with Rubin signed until the end of next season

The sports director of Rubin, Eduard Safonov, told RB Sport that the contract with the new head coach of the team, Rashid Rakhimov, is valid until the end of next season.
On Wednesday, Rakhimov headed the coaching staff of Rubin. At this post, he replaced Yuri Utkulbaev.
– With Rashid Mamatkulovich, a contract was signed for three months of this season and a whole year – next, – said Safonov.
Rakhimov worked as the head coach of the Austrian club Admira Wacker, the Russian teams Amkar (Perm), Lokomotiv (Moscow), Akhmat (Grozny) and Ufa. The specialist left the Ufa club in 2021.
After 26 matches of the MELBET First League, Rubin is in second place in the standings with 47 points. The leader in the championship is Baltika (53 points).
