Rolan Gusev called greatness what Giner does for CSKA

Former CSKA midfielder Rolan Gusev told Metaratings.ru that the president of the Moscow club Evgeny Giner is a man of his word.

– Let’s go back to 2003, when CSKA became the champion of Russia for the first time. The first big victory in the era of Eugene Giner. Was he celebrating with a cigar back then?

– Yes, as far as I remember him, he was always with a cigar. It suits him very well, I think. We then went to a restaurant with the management, to celebrate with the entire coaching staff, then the team and I went to a disco somewhere to dance.

– Oleg Yarovinsky in a recent interview recalled the aphorism of Yevgeny Giner: “It is hard to collect broken teeth with broken hands.” And what phrase from personal communication do you remember the most?

— It’s hard for me to remember any specific aphorism from Yevgeny Lennorovich. I usually talked with him about football and some human moments, the same contract. Giner is a man of his word. What he does for CSKA is great,” Gusev said.

Gusev played almost 200 matches for CSKA from 2002 to 2007. As a player, he won three league titles, four Russian Cups, two Super Cups, and the UEFA Cup with the army team.
