“The Russian national team should play friendly matches with Brazil, not with Iraq” – Kanchelskis
Former Manchester United football player Andrey Kanchelskis shared his opinion about the possible return match between the national teams of Russia and Iraq.
Earlier, the Al Alrabia SportsTV channel announced a preliminary agreement to hold a friendly match in the fall in Baghdad.
– There is a feeling that the RFU is underperforming. The rivals of the national team in friendly matches leave much to be desired. Agreed again with Iraq? Well, well done. Let them be proud of this achievement. On good terms, the Russian national team should play friendly matches with Brazil, and not with Iraq – then this can be enjoyed. Only Europe does not want to play with us. But there is Latin America, Africa and so on. You can find rivals more impressive than Iraq, ”RB Sport” quotes Kanchelskis.
In March, the Russian team played a draw with Iran (1:1) in Tehran and won against Iraq (2:0) in St. Petersburg.
