Orenburg and Lokomotiv lived up to the expectations of Russian football fans and played one of the most spectacular matches in the 23rd round of the Russian Championship. The railway workers unexpectedly won with a crushing score, and the team captain Dmitry Barinov found himself in the center of a very tense episode.

Fans of the hosts booed the player after a hard collision, but he found a bold and capacious answer.

Unexpected defeat

Already in the 10th minute of the meeting, Loko took the lead. A quick attack through the left flank ended with Francois Camano’s cross for Maxim Glushenkov, who effortlessly closed the pass in the goalkeeper’s area. After 15 minutes, the railroad managed a good combination already on the opposite edge. As a result, Artem Dzyuba brought Nair Tiknizyan to the operational space. The defender of the Armenian national team shot from the penalty area, and the ball after the rebound rolled into the goal of “Orenburg”. And four minutes later, Glushenkov scored a double: a magnificent dribble shot from 20 meters in the style of Alexei Miranchuk set a devastating score on the scoreboard.

In stoppage time for the first half, “Orenburg” won back one ball thanks to Dmitry Vorobyov’s chic free-kick. However, the goal in the locker room did not embarrass the Muscovites. As soon as they entered the field after the break, they organized the fourth ball: a few quick passes from the hosts’ penalty area – and now Kamano is already closing Dziuba’s chamber. Artem showed himself perfectly as an assistant in this match: he scored three assists.

Blood and whistle

At the 63rd minute of the game, a rather sharp (in terms of the degree of emotions) episode happened. During a corner kick at Ilya Lantratov’s goal, Orenburg football player Vladimir Obukhov flew very hard into Loko’s captain Barinov. Dmitry was on the lawn, and the referee immediately blew the whistle. Obukhov approached the lying opponent and apologized. It turned out that Barinov’s nose was bloody! The referee immediately hurried to issue a yellow card to the offender.

After that, doctors entered the field. They helped Barinov stop the bleeding and get to his feet. Dmitry, accompanied by doctors, as required by the rules, went off the field. When the railway worker passed the Orenburg fan stand, the fans began to whistle at him. It is not very clear why: it is obvious that there was no point in dragging out Barinov’s time!

However, the Loko leader easily figured out the situation. Hearing a negative buzz addressed to him, Barinov showed the stands with his fingers the score of the game: 4:1. Of course, Dmitry’s haters had nothing to answer to this.

It is unlikely that Barinov will face any special punishment for such communication with fans. In the end, he did not show anything offensive. Dmitry simply responded to the provocation, and at that moment a friendly smile played on his face. Unfortunately for the player, the match with Orenburg still brought him disappointment, as Dmitry got a broken finger in it.

It remains to be hoped that Barinov will not go to the infirmary for a long time and will be able to participate in the further breakthrough of Lokomotiv, which is already in the top 10.
