FIFA gives Argentina the right to host the 2023 Youth World Cup
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has approved Argentina as the host country for the 2023 World Cup for players under 20 years of age. About it informed press service of the organization.
Initially, the tournament was supposed to be held in Indonesia, but at the end FIFA deprived it of this right. The reason was the scandalous statement of the governor of the island of Bali, Vayan Koster, who urged not to allow the Israeli team to the tournament, with which the country does not have diplomatic relations.
The World Championship, in which 24 teams will take part, will be held from May 20 to June 11.
