President RPL Alexander Alaev does not exclude the possibility of changing the championship format next season.

Is there any chance that in the next championship there will be some kind of hybrid formula to hold the championship – with the playoffs? We have not yet discussed this option with the clubs, but I think the potential changes should be kept in mind. We live in a non-standard situation, we have to consider all options to make the championship more interesting. Everyone remembers the experience of the Dutch company, and if we talk about changes, we need to approach them more carefully, because there are sporting and legal nuances in existing contracts with sponsors. Personally, I think this issue should be discussed.

There are several options – both playoffs and the third round with division into groups. All options deserve consideration at the general meeting. While all of this is preliminary.
