Former Manchester United star filed for bankruptcy
Former Manchester United and England defender Wes Brown has been declared bankrupt.
At the end of February, the British Revenue and Customs (HMRC) filed for bankruptcy of the ex-footballer. In April, the corresponding document was registered and entered into the official public register, Mirror reports.
Brown signed for United while still a schoolboy and made his debut for the club in 1998. He made over 200 appearances for the team, winning the Champions League twice, as well as five Premier League titles, two FA Cups and two League Cups. He also has 23 caps for England. The defender retired in 2018.
