The former striker of Dynamo, Lokomotiv and the Russian national team Dmitry Bulykin spoke about the removal of the PSG striker Lionel Messi from working with the team, and also noted that he did not consider the transfer of the Argentinean to the French club a mistake.

Messi, who is a brand ambassador for the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, traveled to Riyadh on May 1, angering some players and Parisian head coach Christophe Galtier. The striker’s behavior was deemed a serious mistake and he was suspended for two weeks with immediate effect. According to L’Equipe, after this scandal, PSG decided to exercise the option not to renew Messi’s contract.

“I don’t think it was a mistake anyway. Still, he did well and got a lot of money. So don’t call it a mistake. But where to take the next step, for him now is a big question. So now everything is coming out. Although, in my opinion, everything should be resolved quietly, but, apparently, something does not suit someone, so we learn about such situations from the press, Bulykin told Gazeta.Ru.

The 35-year-old has made 37 appearances this season, scoring 20 goals and making 19 assists.
