Haaland holds the all-time record for goals in a season in the Premier League

Manchester City striker Erling Holland scored the 35th goal in Premier League in this season.

The Norwegian scored in the 70th minute of the match of the 28th round of the championship with West Ham (3:0). Thus, the striker broke the English Premier League’s overall record for goals in a season, previously set by Andy Cole AND Alan Shearerwho scored 34 goals in the 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons respectively (at that time there were 22 teams in the English league and 42 rounds were played per season).

In total, the footballer played 45 matches for the “citizens” this season, scoring 51 goals.

Previously, the player overtook the Liverpool striker Muhammad Sala by the number of goals scored in a season with 20 clubs.
