Former Russian national team player Igor Semshov admitted that he considers Valery Karpin, who heads Rostov, the best coach of the 2022/23 season in the RPL WORLD.

Rostov, after 25 rounds of the WORLD RPL, scored 50 points and ranks second in the standings, 11 points behind Zenit, ahead of Spartak by one point and CSKA by two.

– Both Karpin and Semak are worthy of respect, they are both strong coaches. Sergei Bogdanovich again makes Zenit the champion, and there is no need to even talk about the composition of the Petersburgers. It is not easy to manage such stars in our championship.

Karpin created precisely a team of like-minded people, people who play for each other. Rostov has a lot of young players aged 19-20, but they show solid football, and most importantly, stable football, which the head coach wants to see. They fulfill his requirements and want to grow themselves. Therefore, Rostov deserves to be in the top three at the end of the season, definitely.

I would give the award in the nomination “Best Coach of the Season” to Karpin. He does not have a single legionnaire in the team, and they are consistently in the top three throughout the season,” Semshov told Metaratings.ru.
