Fakel defeated Rostov in the away match of the 26th round of the MIR of the Russian Premier League.
The meeting ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the Voronezh club, goals were scored by Roman Akbashev (46th minute) and Khyzyr Appaev (75).
“Torch” played the first match under the leadership of Vadim Evseev, who headed the club on May 1. The team climbed to 13th place in the WORLD RPL table with 24 points.
Rostovites take the second place in the standings with 50 points. The team played without their coach Valery Karpin, who is serving a suspension for a red card received in the last round meeting with Spartak, the actions of Rostov were led by Viktor Onopko.
After this result, Zenit, which will host Spartak on Sunday, in case of victory, has a chance to win the championship four rounds before the end of the RPL season.
