Theoretically, the ball could bounce anywhere, but he, having landed in the goalkeeper’s area, hit straight into the goal. Zenit players immediately rushed to congratulate the Russian Brazilian, who opened the scoring in an extremely important match. And it was painful to look at Alexander – the gatekeeper of Spartak, burning with shame, clutched his face. His unfortunate mistake out of the blue brought the opponent closer to gold awards.

Abascal’s team tried to rectify the situation – Balde Keita’s goal gave hope to the guests. But even before the break, the leader of the season again returned acceptable numbers to the scoreboard. The author of the first goal, Claudinho, upset Selikhov again, but this time the Brazilian took part as an assistant, supplying Andrei Mostovoy with an assist.
