Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvey Safonov spoke about his readiness to consider proposals from European clubs.
The goalkeeper’s current contract with the Russian club runs until the summer of 2026.
— (Junior) Alonso recently said in an interview that you could play in the European Championship without any problems. Do you feel like you can do it?
– Everything depends on how interesting I am to clubs from Europe. If there are proposals, then it will be possible to consider them. It’s hard for me to evaluate myself, because you have to understand that it will be a different championship with a different game.
Are you willing to try in the future?
“If there are proposals, then we’ll see,” Safonov told Match TV.
This season, 24-year-old Safonov has played 33 matches and conceded 47 goals.
