Former CSKA defender Ivan Taranov spoke about the special attitude of the former club coach Valery Gazzaev to the Brazilian team players.

Taranov played for CSKA from August 2002 to January 2008.

– Is it true that Gazzaev allowed the Brazilians more than others? Yaroshik said that he, Olic and Rakhimich got it if they walked after the matches, and they didn’t say anything to Wagner and Carvalho, even though they were “pulled out” until the morning.

– I was not in the company of either one or the other. I can’t say who had more fun or who flew more. Maybe Valery Georgievich considered himself more of a Brazilian, and their “carnival” was closer to him (laughs).

The training requirements were the same for everyone. The same Brazilians plowed, they also sometimes turned inside out. Carvalho went out of the race, then returned – where to go, – Metaratings.ru quotes Taranov.

Gazzaev headed CSKA from November 2001 to November 2003, and also from July 2004 to December 2008. Under him, CSKA became a three-time champion of Russia, a four-time winner of the Russian Cup, a two-time Super Cup, and also a winner of the UEFA Cup.
