The doctors failed to save the life of Alexander Karakin.

On the night of May 11-12, the Moscow police were roused to their feet due to a terrible accident on the Minsk highway. As a result of a terrible accident during a street race, a former Spartak and Khimki football player was injured.

Doctors fought for the life of an adrenaline lover, but could not save him.

Career didn’t work out

Karakin showed good promise at a young age. Alexander played for the youth teams of Spartak and Dynamo, but they don’t take anyone there. In the Youth Football League (YFL), the defender played more than 30 matches and even scored three goals, which is a pretty good indicator for a defense player.

But Karakin failed to rise above the youth teams. Didn’t help to get used to adult football and loan to Khimki. The defender could not gain a foothold in the team near Moscow, having played only six matches in the FNL.

The player graduated from football in 2018. Lately he has been playing at the amateur level. Also in his life was an extreme hobby beyond the law. Every Thursday, together with like-minded people, he arranged races on the Minsk highway, where he drove a powerful Nissan GT-R. According to his wife, he simply adored this occupation.

A terrible accident on the Minsk highway

Street racers gathered at gas stations, and sometimes there were so many participants that the station simply could not work. The venue for the races was not chosen by chance. This section of the highway falls into the blind zone of the system for fixing traffic violations, which allowed cars to accelerate with impunity over 200 km / h.

Risky races on a busy track were fraught with great danger. According to the Shot Telegram channel, on the night of May 12, the car driven by Karakin crashed at high speed. Nissan GT-R flew into the bump stop, after which it was thrown into the middle of the road. The channel also published a video from the scene of the accident, where Alexander’s car looks more like a pile of twisted metal.

According to the publication Mash, the wet road surface led to the tragedy. The ex-footballer’s car was fitted with sports tires without water outlets to provide better grip on the track. But to the misfortune of Alexander, the section of the road where the races were held was moistened with water, which led to the hydroplaning of the vehicle.

Karakin was taken from the scene of the accident to the intensive care unit with serious injuries, where doctors fought for his life for several hours. Unfortunately, the player could not be saved. On the morning of May 12, a few hours after the accident, Karakin died from his injuries. Alexander was only 32 years old.
