Former football player of the Russian national team Andrey Kanchelskis told RB Sport that Spartak is experiencing a psychological decline, the whole team is now in trouble.
On Saturday, Khimki and Spartak played a 1-1 draw in the match of the 27th round of the WORLD RPL.
– Maybe Spartak was knocked down by the defeat from Zenit, because the team in St. Petersburg was not going to lose. The Red-Whites are now in a psychological decline – they were obliged to beat Khimki in order to continue the fight for second place. Problems, probably, the whole team now. There are times when the whole team has a decline. At Spartak, it came – they fell into a psychological hole, so to speak. Now they need to get out of it as soon as possible.
I said at the beginning of the season that Spartak would fight for third or fourth place. It probably will. Now the match with CSKA is ahead, and the army team is now on the move, so it will be very difficult for Spartak. If Spartak loses to CSKA, then they won’t be able to finish in second place, ”Kanchelskis said.
