Former Dynamo goalkeeper Vladimir Gabulov believes that the sports director of the Moscow club Zeljko Buvac should leave his post.

On Sunday, a member of the board of directors of Dynamo, Dmitry Gafin, said that head coach Slavisha Jokanovic would not prepare the team for the next match after losing to Akhmat (0:3) in the 27th round of the WORLD RPL.

– It is clear that Jokanovic did not cope with his task in the form of sports results. But I believe that the management that brought Jokanovic should be responsible for the lack of results on the centenary. Even so – these people should be responsible in the first place. And then they found the last one, and they continue to work further. This should not be the case if we are talking about the implementation of the club’s policy and strategy.

Do you mean Buvac?

– The sports department is responsible for everything, in particular, the sports director. If Buvac made a mistake in choosing a coach, why is he not responsible? Why only the head coach? I expect more drastic decisions. The lack of results in the centenary of the club is at least a flaw, and by and large – incompetent. With Schwartz gone, there was plenty of time to plan and select a candidate. Everything could have been done better.

– After the match, Buvac said that he was not sure that he would remain working at Dynamo.

– Buvac has to decide on his own resignation if he respects himself as a professional. Without waiting for him to be fired, to pay a penalty and so on. Make a decision like a man and a professional. Ideally, the owners of the Dynamo football club should make decisions on the entire sports block, ”Match TV quotes Gabulov as saying.

Dynamo is in seventh place with 42 points in the RPL standings. In the next round, the Blue-and-Whites will play away against Torpedo on May 20.
