“A club like Dynamo should always be at the head of the standings” – Boris Ignatiev
Former head coach of the Russian national team Boris Ignatiev called the performance of Dynamo Moscow this season unsuccessful.
On Sunday, Dynamo in Moscow lost to Akhmat in the game of the 27th round of the WORLD RPL with a score of 0:3. After this match, a member of the board of directors of the club, Dmitry Gafin, said that head coach Slavisa Jokanovic would not prepare the team for the next match. Pavel Alpatov will prepare Dynamo players for the upcoming games.
Did the team have a bad season?
– Definitely! Such a club with resources and serious finances ranks below fifth. It doesn’t fit anywhere. Once a great coach told me that he could take eighth place simply by leading the team to training. For Dynamo there should be no difference between sixth and eighth place. Such a club should always be at the head of the standings, – Euro‑Futbol.Ru quotes Ignatiev.
In the Russian Championship, the Blue-and-Whites scored 42 points and are in seventh place in the standings. In the next round, Dynamo will play an away match against Torpedo on May 20.
