The State Duma believes that the coaching leapfrog in Spartak does not benefit the team
Guillermo Abascal should continue to work at Spartak, the club should stop the constant change of head coaches, said Alexander Zhukov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma and fan of the club.
The Spanish specialist became the head coach of Spartak in the summer of 2022, in February he extended the agreement with the Red-Whites until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Should Abascal express confidence?
– Coaching leapfrog must be stopped. It doesn’t help the team. In summer and autumn, Spartak looked very cool, was on the move. This means that the coach knows how to work and achieve results. And the constant change of coaches does not lead to good. We see this on the example of other clubs in the current season. Now Spartak needs to take medals and think about selection, Zhukov told Match TV.
Spartak is fourth in the WORLD RPL table with 50 points. In the next round, Abascal’s team will host CSKA Moscow on May 21.
