AZ fans attacked family members of West Ham players. Football players of the English club came to the defense of their loved ones
West Ham’s victory over Dutch AZ in the second leg of the Conference League semi-finals was marred by unrest at the end of the meeting.
Families and friends of the guests’ players were attacked by AZ fans. The fans broke through the fence and attacked the West Ham supporters, who were sitting in the guest sector, there were also relatives of the guests’ footballers.
“We need to wait until the dust settles to understand what happened. But the biggest problem is that there were families, friends and relatives of the players there,” West Ham head coach David Moyes said in an interview with BT Sport.
The English team won the match with a minimum score and advanced to the final of the tournament on aggregate.
