“Sobolev will not play if this happens again” – Abaskal after the match with CSKA
The head coach of Spartak Guillermo Abascal, after defeating CSKA in the 28th round of the MIR RPL, said that sanctions would be applied to forward Alexander Sobolev, who was removed for an indecent gesture.
The meeting was held on Sunday in Moscow at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium, Spartak won a strong-willed victory with a score of 2:1. The forward of the “red-whites” Alexander Sobolev, after one of the martial arts in the second half, showed an obscene gesture to the defender of CSKA Willian Roche, pointing to his groin. After that, Rocha appealed to the referee and repeated this gesture. Referee Sergei Karasev decided to remove both players. This happened in the 66th minute of the game with the score 1:1.
– You were also lucky that the referee sent off the players of both teams. Do you think Sobolev deserves blame for the episode? Should he apologize to the fans who saw the gesture?
– Definitely, 100% he will be punished. What Sobolev did does not correspond to the values u200bu200bthat are in Spartak. But hopefully you also saw Roshi’s gestures and his harshness towards Sobolev. It is important to note that in the previous match with CSKA in the 10th minute, Quincey received a yellow card when he fouled Roche. There was a similar episode in that match, but the referee limited himself to a yellow card.
– Do you have an understanding of how to re-educate Sasha?
– If this happens again, the person will not play. First of all, this is respect, this is education. This is not tennis, not athletics, where every man is for himself. Here everyone plays in a team, and you need to act for the good of the team. This is the second time this has happened, Martins has also been punished for his behavior in the past. If this is repeated, they will watch football on the bench, – the Match TV correspondent reports Abaskal’s words.
Spartak scored 53 points and climbed to third place in the RPL table, CSKA is second with 54 points.
