Akhmat players Gbumble and Konate will miss the rest of the RPL season due to injuries

Akhmat midfielder Nene Gbamble and striker Mohamed Konate will not take part in the remaining two matches of this season in the Russian Championship, the press service of the Grozny club reported.

Gbumble suffered damage to the lateral ligament of the knee in the match of the 28th round of the RPL against Khimki (3: 0), his treatment will take three weeks. The legionnaire will start training with the team at the summer training camp.

Magnetic resonance imaging revealed damage to the surface of Konate’s left thigh. The treatment will take about two weeks, he will join the team at the training camp.

The 25-year-old Konate has made 24 appearances this season, scoring 11 goals. He is the club’s top scorer.

On account of 21-year-old Gbamblay, who joined the team in the winter, five games played and one goal.

Akhmat is in fifth place after 28 rounds with 49 points. Grozny in the remaining rounds will play away with Rostov (May 28) and host Krasnodar (June 3).
