I think that Karasev just needed to talk to both players when they began to exchange pleasantries during the game, and then the deletions would not have happened.

Alexander Sobolev is what he is. Having cooled down after the game, he understands perfectly well that by his actions he is letting the team down somewhere or can let the team down. But when he enters the field, he cannot control his emotions and shows his character. He is no longer a young guy, already an experienced player.
