Juventus deducted 10 points in Serie A due to financial fraud
The Federal Court of Appeal has sentenced Juventus to 10 penalty points in the Serie A standings in a capital gains case, according to the press service of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
In January, Juventus were fined 15 points in Serie A due to financial fraud. It was found that the club was engaged in overstating the transfer value of its players to increase capital. Later, the Council of Sports Guarantees of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) partially granted the club’s appeal and sent the case to a higher court for consideration. The club was temporarily returned 15 points in the Serie A standings.
Later, the case was resumed, 10 points were deducted from the Turints following the meeting. Juventus dropped to seventh with 59 points.
