Edwin van der Sar he will leave Ajax, where he served as general manager.
Van der Sar will hand over his powers to his colleagues on the board of directors on June 1, 2023. The Supervisory Board has asked him to continue working until August 1. The official commented on the matter:
After nearly 11 years on the board of directors, I have decided to end my job. We have experienced many good things together, but it has been difficult. I am very grateful to the people I met and worked with during my second phase of my career at Ajax and what we were able to achieve by working together. I feel like I should move around a bit, get some rest and do other things. That’s why I’m leaving.
