Ajax football player attacked a fan for insulting a teammate
Ajax midfielder Steven Berghuis attacked a fan before boarding the club bus.
According to the Dutch daily Tubantia, the player couldn’t help himself after a fan hurled racist slurs at teammate Brian Brobbie.
The Ajax footballer later expressed regret over his behaviour, admitting that his actions were not justified even if his teammate was verbally abused. The Amsterdam club reported that Berghuis had been fined.
Berghuis has made 29 league appearances this season, scoring nine goals and making nine assists.
