“The world is racist. We have a lot to apologize for to the black race, and we still haven’t asked for their forgiveness.” – Guardiola

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola touched on the topic of racism and general inequality in the world.

– The world is racist. We are raised on the assumption that we are the best and others are a disaster. We are all descended from our ancestors who had to emigrate, who were welcomed in other countries, who started families and returned back.

We have something to apologize to the black race for what humanity has done to them for so many centuries! Not so long ago we had slavery. They were slaves. And we still haven’t asked for their forgiveness.

This is all a cultural issue that begins in schools and in the family circle, the educational process. We cannot think that we are better or worse than others. We are the same. I traveled a lot. I lived in Catalonia, I was in Italy, Mexico, Arab countries, here in England, I worked in Germany, and I tell you: we are equal.

The whole world is in big trouble. And if we don’t solve them… have you seen what’s going on in the Mediterranean? What happens to the boats that refugees board and that come from other countries and want to dock in Spain, Italy, Greece, and they are told “no, no, no” … and they throw them back into the sea?! The Mediterranean is a graveyard,” Guardiola said.

Bulykin named the position that Spartak needs to strengthen

Former Russian national football player Dmitry Bulykin expressed his opinion on how Spartak could strengthen during the winter window.

What kind of player does Spartak need in the winter transfer window? First of all, another goalscoring striker. They are already in a good position and can fight for the championship, but due to the atmosphere in the team there were disagreements.

Now we need a good coach who unites them with a single goal and task. If I were in Spartak, I would find another goalscoring striker in the winter and fight for the championship.

Amorim explains Casemiro’s surprise substitution against Newcastle

Mentor Manchester United Reuben Amorim he said he replaced the midfielder Casemiro during the 1–0 win over Newcastle United because he felt the Brazilian would “struggle” with the intensity of the second half.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte formed United’s midfield duo in the absence of Bruno Fernandes, who missed the match with a hamstring injury, but Amorim replaced the Brazilian with Leni Yoro in the 61st minute.

After seeing his number on the substitution board, Casemiro pointed to himself and was disappointed with Amorim’s decision to replace him so early in the match.

Asked to explain Casemiro’s substitution, Amorim replied: “At that moment I didn’t want to shoot [Матеуса] Cunho because he is the only one who allows us to be creative and I put him in position number 10. Jack [Флетчер] it was fresh and could continue, Manu [Угарте] he was cooler than Casemiro. In the end we decided to replace him because they were making a lot of quick passes and I felt that at that point he would have difficulty.”
