Argentine player “Orenburg” Vera told how he was surprised by the Russian players

Argentine midfielder of “Orenburg” Lucas Vera admitted to Metaratings.ru that he was surprised by the high growth of Russian football players.

The Argentine moved to Orenburg from Lanus in 2022.

— What are the main stereotypes about Russia in Latin America?

– War, cold and problems with socialization. Yes, Russians are more serious guys, but when they relax, they are funny in their own way.

– It seems to me that in Orenburg there is a very cool atmosphere within the team, including due to it you have achieved good results in the season. Whose merit in such an atmosphere in the team?

– Yes this is true. Every day the atmosphere in the club becomes only more positive due to both Latin Americans and Russian guys. Probably, we are more responsible for the atmosphere, because we are always together. The Russian guys are also adjusting, but the Argentines set the tone.

– And from the Russians, who is the most reckless?

Everyone is very calm. There are no bad guys on the team. But I should think about itlaughs). The Russian guys are a little slower and we are hyperactive all the time.

– It seems that this mood comes from the head coach as well.

– Yes, Marcel does not interfere with us in this sense. There is no, shall we say, student control. We can afford music, in the morning everyone has a good mood, which everyone shares. And this applies to all players on the team. True, the Russians have their own manner even in this matter, but in the end everyone is comfortable.

In general, Russian football players surprised me! They are all taller than 1.90 m (Vera’s height is 1.64 m – approx.). I’m shocked! Is it normal that they are higher than 1.90? I can’t buy myself normal clothes here,” Vera said.

The 26-year-old has made 29 appearances this season, scoring 1 goal and making 6 assists.

Orenburg scored 43 points and occupies eighth place in the WORLD RPL standings. In the final round, the Urals will play Dynamo at home on June 3.
