Alexander Pospelov, the first coach of Dynamo striker Fedor Smolov, commented on the player’s decision to extend the contract with the Moscow club.

Dynamo on Wednesday extended the contract with the 33-year-old striker under the 1+1 scheme.

– I was sure that Fedor would extend the contract. Yes, some say that it is time for him to finish, but I believe in him!

Smolov returned to Dynamo, where he started his career, in January 2022. Since then, he has played 46 matches and scored 19 goals and 9 assists. This season, Dynamo is in 7th place in the standings one round before the end of the championship.
