CSKA defeated Rostov and took second place in the Russian Football Championship
CSKA Moscow scored a major victory over Rostov in the match of the 30th round of the Russian Football Championship.
The meeting at the VEB Arena ended with a score of 4:1 in favor of the hosts, in which goals were scored by Jesus Medina (9th minute), Fedor Chalov (17, from the penalty spot; 33) and Willian Rocha (25). Evgeny Chernov reduced the backlog of the Rostovites in the 78th minute.
CSKA scored 58 points and won silver medals WORLD Russian Premier League (RPL), Rostov (53) finished fourth. The championship title was previously taken ahead of schedule by Zenit St. Petersburg.
Vladimir Fedotov’s team will play Krasnodar in the Russian Cup superfinal, the meeting will take place on June 11 at Luzhniki.
Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from participation in European competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
