Nottingham Forrest have decided not to include Ukrainian national team defender Oleksandr Zinchenko until the team’s registration for the spring part of the 2025/26 European competition.
The club officially announced that the Ukrainian’s place in the European Cup bid was taken by the Nigerian grind Ola Aina, who spent the season only a few games due to injuries.
The 29-year-old Zinchenko, whose contract with Arsenal expires until the summer of 2026, was loaned to the English club in the spring of 2025 and began working with three coaches. In the current tournaments there were ten matches, but there were no effective actions. The reasons for the decision to exclude the Ukrainian from the club’s application have not been disclosed.
