West Ham fans smashed the Fiorentina captain’s head in the Conference League final by throwing a foreign object from the stands. Video

The final match of the Conference League between Fiorentina and West Ham was interrupted for several minutes after fans of the London club injured the captain of the Violets, Cristiano Biraghi, by throwing a foreign object at him.
One of these items hit the player in the head. Biraghi responded with a sarcastic applause to the stands, but after that he was forced to seek medical help, as he had a cut on the back of his head.
After Biraghi had his head bandaged, the match resumed. And Biraghi himself went to take a corner again.
Meanwhile, the chief referee of the meeting, Carlos Del Cerro Grande, reported to the official and handed him the lighter, which was thrown onto the field.
