The former head coach of CSKA, Torpedo, Khimki, Ural and Yenisei Alexander Tarkhanov called Rostov the opening of the 2022/2023 season in the RPL WORLD.
– Rostov with Karpin is the opening team of this season in the RPL. The last time such a success was with Berdyev, when the Rostovites took second place. And this year, after a long break, they fought for the top three. It is also important that the team had its own young players,” Tarkhanov told the “Championship”.
The team of Valery Karpin took fourth place in the table at the end of the WORLD RPL season. Rostov was also eliminated from the FONBET Cup of Russia at the stage of the first stage of the semi-finals of the Path of Regions, losing to the future finalist Krasnodar on penalties.
