Former CSKA midfielder Vladislav Radimov told RB Sport about the dispute with Match TV commentator Dmitry Shnyakin on the eve of the FONBET Russian Cup Superfinal between Krasnodar and CSKA.

– Both teams are good now, so the chances are 50 to 50. If at first it was possible to give preference to CSKA, now it is clear that Krasnodar added. But a lot will depend on whether the best will be in his composition, whether Cordoba will recover by the match. And the main question is who will play at the gates of Krasnodar. If “Krasnodar” does not bring itself, then the game will be equal and anything is possible. The fact that the game will be in Moscow is offset by the fact that a lot of people will come from Krasnodar. And the fact that the final will be held at Luzhniki is my opinion – it should be held only there. This is the main stadium of the country, as it was in the USSR, and everyone knew that they had to get there in order to play the main match.

– Speaking about who will be the goalkeeper of Krasnodar, are you hinting at Safonov’s unstable game?

– Certainly. I even argued with Dmitry Shnyakin for dinner that Safonov would be in the squad, and Dima would be Agkatsev. So I’m looking forward to the lineups.

— In principle, did you like this cup system?

– Group tournament – maybe an interesting story. But I’m probably conservative – I think that the team that lost the cup should be relegated. If you lose in the group – okay, but in the playoffs – that’s it. Probably, the RFU came up with something most interesting in this situation, but, probably, the interest was fueled not so much by the drawing system itself, but by what is around it.

The Russian Cup Superfinal will be held on Sunday, June 11, at the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow, starting at 17:00 (Moscow time). The last time CSKA won the Cup of Russia in 2013, the army team won seven trophies in total. Krasnodar lost to Rostov in its only final in 2014.
