Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan admitted that he would like to try his hand at the European Championship.
The Dutch media previously reported that Ajax made an official offer to Krasnodar for the transfer of Spertsyan. The leadership of Amsterdam, as noted, contacted the player. The amount of the transfer could reach 9 million euros.
On Sunday at Luzhniki, Krasnodar lost to CSKA in the FONBET Russian Cup Superfinal in a penalty shootout — 5:6. The main time of the meeting ended with the score 1:1.
— Would you like to try your hand at Europe?
I would like to, but we’ll see how it goes.
– After the match, did you communicate with Khashig or Galitsky?
– With Galitsky – no. Vladimir Leonidovich came [что там было] – it will stay in the locker room.
– Many people think that it is easier to hit the first in a penalty shootout, have you thought about it?
– No, everything is decided by the coach. No difference.
– Was it affected by the fact that it was not Safonov who stood in the penalty shootout?
– It had no effect. Matthew and Stas [Агкацев] – good goalkeepers who saved us and pulled us more than once.
– Did you feel why Akinfeev is so good in the penalty shootout?
– No, I didn’t feel it. We all know that Igor is a great player, a legend. Experience played today,” Match TV reports Spertsyan’s words.
The term of Spertsyan’s contract with Krasnodar is calculated until the summer of 2026.
