The Nicaraguan national team was excluded from the Gold Cup CONCACAF – the main tournament in North and Central America, which will be held this summer at United States of America and Canada and begins June 24.
The reason for the disqualification was that in 8 recent matches for the Nicaraguan team, a Uruguayan footballer played Richard Rodriguez Alvesthat he had no legal right to do so.
Trinidad and Tobago will place Nicaragua in Group A of the tournament.
