There is a threat of losing the top scorer, a minimum of rumors about potential reinforcement, instead of Nagelsmann, the ex-Celtic manager came to the post of head coach – this is how Tottenham meets the off-season that has begun. What is happening with the “spurs” is not happy at all, now the Londoners are a headless horseman.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have signed Richarlison, Christian Romero, Yves Bissum, Destiny Udoji, Jed Spence and Ivan Perisic. In total almost 170 million euros were spent.

By the way, the reinforcement did not allow to make a leap forward: the Londoners were in the top 3 for a while, but gradually slipped out of the Champions League zone. The manager, who left Bayern, even refused Chelsea, because he considered Tottenham a more promising project.

However, the matter did not go into detail: as a result, the English giant rejected Julian’s candidacy, Xabi Alonso, who is now coaching Bayer, was called a possible alternative.

Celtic manager Ange Postekoglu also made the shortlist. The Australian manager has returned the championship title to the team, but there are no other significant results to his credit. Apparently, Tottenham simply did not find an alternative, and in the end it was Ange who became the new coach of the Londoners.

While it can’t get worse for the English giant – the team has already lost its place in European competition, and it’s utterly impossible to start a new campaign under Ryan Mason – the specialist simply lacks experience of working independently at a level so tall.

They risk losing their main asset

The confusion is a sure chance to wiretap one of the Londoners’ leaders. The story has been building for some time with the potential departure of Spurs’ top scorer, Harry Kane. The Englishman is in no hurry to renew his contract with the club, and the current deal expires next summer.

In this context, Real Madrid has become more active. “Creamy” was left without the main striker for the next season – Karim Benzema went to Al-Ittihad. The situation with Kylian Mbappe is still vague: a year earlier, the Frenchman had already “rolled” the Galacticos, remaining in PSG. And Harry has enough quality to play in La Liga. By the way, Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is also interested in the services of the English striker – and Real Madrid is ready to pay Spurs compensation in the amount of 80 million euros.

In the list of candidates, they also call “Paris Saint-Germain” – only if Kilian still leaves the team. Then the Parisians will allocate 120 million euros for Kane. Earlier, among the competitors in the fight for the striker called Manchester United and Bayern, but nothing more is known about the negotiations with them – and Tottenham are unlikely to agree to strengthen their competitor.

Many transfers aren’t worth the wait

Activity in the player market for Spurs is not typical anyway – and with Conte they bought 177.9 million euros for the space. In addition, they will have to buy Pedro Porro from Sporting for 45 million euros in the summer.

At the same time, some insiders still appear. Londoners are trying to negotiate with Brentford about the transfer of goalkeeper David Rai. The terms of the contract are almost agreed, but it will be more difficult to come to an agreement with the club – the “bees” are ready to accept the offer only if the release amount is 40 million pounds sterling. Tottenham bosses consider such demands too high.

In addition to the goalkeeping line, the Londoners want to strengthen the center of the pitch and are trying to negotiate with Leicester midfielder James Maddison. The fact that the Foxes are relegated to the Championship speaks for the deal, and James himself wants to play in the Premier League. At the same time, the club has a competitor – Newcastle. And the Magpies are ahead of Spurs in the fight for the midfielder.
