The new owner of the English football club “Manchester United” will be Qatari Sheikh Jasim bin Hamad Al-Thani, reports the Mirror, citing Qatari media.

The article says that the American businessmen Glazers, who own Manchester United, accepted Al-Thani’s offer. The deal should be announced soon. Another contender for the acquisition of “United” was Briton Jim Ratcliffe.

On Monday evening, the value of one share of the English club reached $20.14, the highest in a month.

In the 2022/23 season, Erik ten Hag’s team finished third in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup final.

Manchester United is a 20-time English champion, 12-time National Cup winner, three-time European Cup/Champions League winner.
