Former Dynamo striker Oleg Terekhin told Sport Day after Day that the appointment of Orenburg head coach Marcel Lichka to Dynamo would be a good choice for the Blue and White.
Earlier, the Championship, citing its own sources, said that the appointment of the Czech to Dynamo had already been fully agreed, and Orenburg would receive one million euros from the capital club as compensation, since Lichka has a valid contract. At the same time, Orenburg sports director Dmitry Andreev, in a conversation with Match TV, said that these were rumors, and the club was counting on the coach next season.
– In “Orenburg” he proved to be a good specialist. There were no conflict situations, the team shows an interesting game. Why shouldn’t he try Dynamo? It’s a good choice. The main thing is not to interfere with his work.
– Lichka has not yet worked in Dynamo-level clubs. Is there a risk that he will not cope with such a team, where you need to play attacking football, where high results are expected, and not just maintaining a residence permit in the RPL?
– It’s OK. Everyone has had such a period in their lives. When appointing Lichka, Dynamo does not risk anything. His invitation does not require large financial costs. We don’t play in European competitions yet. Lichka knows how Russian football works. He’s been here for almost three years. For performances in domestic tournaments, it is well suited.
“What if he can’t handle the pressure?” From him, for sure, they will immediately demand results.
– It’ll work out. What result? Dynamo will not take the first place. The goal is to get into the top three. If he is appointed, it will be good.
— Should we expect any significant results in the first year?
– Why not? In “Orenburg” he gave the result. There are better players in Dynamo. The person will do it. Who could have imagined what Galaktionov would do in Lokomotiv? He was appointed, although they could also reject his candidacy, citing the fact that he did not work at that level. Lichka has a lot of experience. I hope he gets appointed.
The Czech specialist has been heading Orenburg since 2020. According to the results of the 2022/23 season, Orenburg finished seventh in the RPL WORLD, repeating the best result in club history.
