Karpin told why Rostov lost big to CSKA in the last round
The head coach of Rostov and the Russian national team, Valery Karpin, told Sport24 that his team should have played better in the match with CSKA in the last round of the WORLD RPL, even with all the problems.
CSKA defeated Rostov 4:1.
– You said that you usually smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. How much did you smoke after the match with CSKA, which could even give Rostov silver, but in the end left it fourth?
– I smoked about a pack.
– 0:4 after the first half. What’s this? The peak of all fatigue and injury?
– Coincidence of everything. But even with injuries, fatigue and cards, we definitely should have played better. We brought the first goal ourselves. And then there was an ambiguous penalty, — said Karpin.
Rostov took fourth place in the WORLD RPL standings at the end of the season. The team was also eliminated from the FONBET Cup of Russia at the stage of the first stage of the semi-finals of the Path of Regions, losing to the future finalist Krasnodar on penalties.
