Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, commenting on the transfer of football player Jude Bellingham to the Madrid club, said that the team had previously had a man who also came for a lot of money, but did not train, but only rested.
Media reports that Kroos thus hinted at the Belgian Eden Hazard, whose departure became known on June 3. Hazard moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 for 115 million euros. The transfer of 19-year-old Bellingham cost the Royal Club 103 million euros.
– As for the transition of Bellingham, this is a top football player that many teams wanted to get because of the combination of age and qualities that he possesses. We had another player who came for a lot of money and did almost nothing except rest. I think everyone can say that it was not a very good transfer. But let’s be positive – Bellingham seems to be strong,” RMC Sport quotes Kroos, citing the German footballer’s podcast.
Bellingham made 42 appearances for Borussia Dortmund last season, scoring 14 goals and was named the best player in the German championship. Hazard played 76 matches during his time with Real Madrid, scoring seven goals.
