Former Zenit and CSKA player Maxim Bokov told RB Sport that he likes the stability in Akhmat’s performances.
“Akhmat” in the season ended WORLD RPL took fifth place in the standings.
– The Chechen Republic has always been facing the club, and such a performance was to be expected. When I was still playing there, the leaders of the republic helped the team, even then there was a good selection of players, now too. I like that Akhmat does not jump like some other RPL clubs, performing either well or badly – here you can cite Spartak, Krasnodar and Rostov as an example. He plays consistently. Spent the season exactly, about the same as CSKA. And climbed high in the table.
So I would note this quality in Akhmat – stability. And it is from season to season. Now they were coached by Sergey Tashuev. He knows this region well, lived there. I think his mentality, knowledge of the specifics of local football helped the team perform so worthily last season, Bokov said.
Bokov played from 2003 to 2005 for Terek and won the Russian Cup with it.
