“Hart has gone from dressing room clown to source of positive energy and motivator” – Former Manchester City captain Kompany
Former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany called ex-goalkeeper Joe Hart “the best character he has come across during his time at the Etihad”. Kompany stated that the goalkeeper was unable to stay with the team as Josep Guardiola wanted a goalkeeper with good kicking skills.
“As a personality for the team, Joe Hart was the best character. I saw his development – he went from a clown in the locker room to a source of positive energy and motivator, becoming a true leader.
I don’t think people remember how important those qualities were for Hart in the first two titles we won and in those early years when Manchester City did well. But the team’s style of play has changed, just at the moment when he was in his prime, – quotes the words of Overlap Company.
Hart officially ceased to be a Manchester City player in the summer of 2018 after 12 years in the club’s system.
