Manchester United are in talks to buy the twin sons of former midfielder Darren Fletcher from Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.
Fletcher Sr., who has made over 300 appearances for United and won 10 major trophies with the club, is now Manchester United’s technical director and is believed to be making an effort to transfer sons Jack and Tyler to another academy.
At the moment, the sons of Fletcher are on school contracts, and professional agreements will be able to conclude in March 2024, when they turn 17 years old.
In February, Jack and Tyler played against each other – in the match between the youth teams of England and Scotland. The brothers decided to connect their international careers with different national teams.
Darren Fletcher is not the only United player whose children are in the City academy, ex-team players Wayne Rooney, Phil Neville and Robin van Persie are in the same situation.
