The Russian coach of the Serbian club “Radnichki” Andrey Chernyshov told Euro‑Futbol.Ru about the indifference of the club’s management to the team.
The 55-year-old Russian specialist headed Radnichki in January of this year. His contract expires on June 30, after which he will leave the club.
– After 37 rounds, Radnicki lost four games in a row at the end of the season. What is the problem?
– We finished playing after the first game in the playoffs, when we beat the Indjija football club (1:0), which then took fourth place. After that, the team had neither the strength nor the desire. Already began to train in a relaxed mode. The situation developed in such a way that just after this game, it was necessary to support the guys, pay some bonuses, set them up to take fourth place. The management did not make any attempts, and the players have already seen this indifference, and we are the coaching staff. I saw the atmosphere in the team, and we played in such a way that we could compete, and the players felt that they could compete for a higher place. Such a disregarding attitude of the leadership, of course, showed that there was no point in further straining. I saw that when we defeated Indjiya on their field, no one talked to the guys and did not support them either morally or physically. I saw their condition… You always feel the same when you are training, when you enter the locker room, when you start giving instructions before the next game. Therefore, these defeats are due to the fact that after the first game of the playoffs there was such indifference.
— It sounds like you won’t be working at Radnichki anymore.
I didn’t express any dissatisfaction with them. Just from the first day I got there, I saw what kind of organization it was, what kind of attitude. I will give an example, after which everything becomes clear for this club. When the guys returned from the training camp, they had three days off and then my first practice. I came and saw no water. No water for training! I ask those people who should organize there, deal with this issue. I ask: “Where is the water?” I was told that the guys themselves can get a flask there, go to the toilet to drink. Then we went to a friendly game, and there was no water there either. What are we talking about? Here is the organization of the club. The fact that we gave such a result is really the best result in the history of the club, but it does not correspond to this organization.
I have a contract until the end of June and I’m not going to sign a new contract. I’m waiting for the end of the agreement and I’ll be free. I will definitely not return to this club,” said Chernyshov.
Radnički finished eighth in the Serbian First League.
