Tiknizyan was sure that he would score the ball against the Latvian national team

Defender of the Armenian national team Nair Tiknizyan admitted to Metaratings.ru that he was determined to excel in the fourth round match of the qualifying round of the European Championship with Latvia.

The Armenian national team defeated the Latvian team with a score of 2:1. On 35 minutes, the home team took the lead thanks to a goal from Lokomotiv Moscow’s defender.

– You defeated Wales, before the match with Latvia there was a huge hype. Did you worry?

— I had no excitement. In every match for the Armenian national team and for Lokomotiv, I come out as motivated as possible, angry and aggressive in sports.

When I was on the bus for the match against Latvia, I was sure that I would score a goal. I can’t explain how it is, just thinking about it without stopping. In my head I even imagined how I would celebrate the goal scored. But how I imagined and how I celebrated are two different realities.

Of course, I wanted my first goal for the Armenian national team to take place as early as possible,” Tiknizyan said.

Tiknizyan has been playing for the Armenian national team since the spring of 2023.
