Sochi goalkeeping coach Dmitry Borodin told RB Sport that Zenit striker Mateo Cassierra will open up next season.
The Colombian moved to Zenit from Sochi last summer.
– It started well for Kasik at Zenit. He scored against Crvena Zvezda in the cup match, then something went wrong. But, nevertheless, he became a champion, like Rodrigao, we are very happy for the guys. We can say that we brought them up and gave them a raise, and they took the gold.
– Why couldn’t Cassierra reveal himself the way he did in Sochi?
Wait, give him a season. The next one will be his. Well, it happens, it didn’t go, it didn’t fly. In Sochi, he and Noboa understood each other at a glance, he still didn’t have time to start, and the transfer from Chris was already underway – and that’s it, in kings!
– By the way, what is the secret of Noboa’s eternal youth?
– He just loves football, gives him all of himself, and football rewards him for this. For him, the game is a holiday. He may not always be in training, so to speak, in crazy shape. But he goes to the match and sometimes works magic.
Last season, 26-year-old Cassierra scored 6 goals and 8 assists in 34 games.
