“Under Melezhikov, Spartak began to pay more attention to the veterans of the club” – Kechinov
Former Spartak football player Valery Kechinov hopes that under the new general director, the Red-Whites will take care of the club’s veterans in the same way as under Yevgeny Melezhikov.
On Tuesday, the change of the general director of Spartak was announced. Evgeny Melezhikov, who has held this position since June 2021, left the club by agreement of the parties. Oleg Malyshev was appointed instead of him.
– I do not know the new general director of Spartak – I have not heard anything about him. It is difficult to comment on something here, but, probably, the club management knows this person as a good professional. I can only say good things about Melezhikov. Under him, Spartak began to devote more time, care and attention to the veterans of the club. I hope that the new general director will also take care and give time and attention to all veterans, because they deserve it,” Kechinov told Chempionat.
Last season, Spartak won bronze medals in the Russian championship.
